Survival gear review.
Hey I decided to do a saturday night live if you will sit here bored and figured I'd get out here and see if anybody's out there want to chat out here i guess uh you know not a lot of videos this past week i had an issue with my cable the internet service through my cable so i wasn't able to upload anything or do a live broadcast last weekend we finally got that all fixed which is why the giveaway that we did this week is gonna run till the following sunday so it gives everybody a chance to get in on it so on and let's see do we have anybody here i'm just looking over here trying to keep an eye on the laptop see if anybody joining or anything there's like a 30-second delay between this and what actually shows up I see some thumbs up right there.
I don't know what those are for looks like you got five watching hey so who's all out there go ahead now toss up up there Lorne Michaels hello a how're you doing today as I was saying how was bored sitting here so decided to do a bit of a saturday night live if you will and you know see if there's anybody out there watching wanna chat wanna you know talk about anything you know anything of the sorts.
I am doing well Laura sorry if there's a bit of a delay and I was like a 30-second delay between this live feed in actual typing time see Jansen jankovic I see you're on here too how's it going buddy what are you guys doing this saturday night other than watching some YouTube tell you what 22 I thought you were watching a football game now watching a football game even though sorry trying to get setting corrected on that lets see Billy in Houston what's up buddy how's everybody.
How you doing out there house how's the weather down in Houston it's got to be pretty damn warm down there.
When can we do a lady's backpack really have a depends on the huh sorry I'm over you're looking at the laptop is driving me nuts i'm actually gonna shut this thing for a minute ladies back I'm it all depends on the companies that I get ahold of me i can definitely talk to some of the some of the context i have that the new packs and things like that can see if I can't get a lady's backpack and maybe do a giveaway on it I mean that would be sure that would be awesome you know something we could up we can definitely do not much weather warm and rainy yeah it's been a little warm and rainy here to today explain i'm going out to one of state parks here Michigan we're going to a little bit of hiking and it just hit non stop raining last night i got woke up with some thunderstorms actually is really early this morning and it's just been it's been a horrible rainy day.
So when's the next prefer gearbox going to be coming out usually they send them out i believe right around the 15th is when they get sent out then takes time to get over here and time for me to shoot a video edit it and get it up to you guys so should be having a video for the privateer box I'd say you know somewhere around the 20th of the month if not a little bit before i just received in a pocket box and i may subscribe to the next one yeah you know they've been talking to me over a pocket box trying to get me to review their boxes and i don't know i have mixed emotions on my mean I guess I can't see their horrible but my issue with the pocket box is is.
The value of of the items that give you i know they went more toward handmade items and you know things in such that you can't find in a store but from what I've seen from other videos I can't I don't know I it just seems like the stuff is fairly cheaply made falls apart really quick.
From what I've seen now I haven't tried one out actually just had a conversation with one of the many people over it up a pocket box and I may have sent me out of box i'm not sure i don't want to let you guys know with my channel I don't put a lot of negativity into my into my reviews I get a lot of stuff that just is it.
How do you put it just is it isn't good and you know I hate to have a company sent me something for me to take a look at it and then be like man it's really not the greatest thing and then I'm not going to do a video on it so you know I kind of feel like I'm cheating the company at that point when they send it out to me so you know I don't know we may do a pocket box i'm not sure i really like that baby sex box that we had a I thought it was pretty cool let's see last edition was a blackout addition i feel i got what i paid for like them because they have handmade items and hard ringing itís yeah i mean i do appreciate the handmade items very calm I've just seen other people i've seen some bad things about it so I don't know maybe I look at it i'm not saying you're bad forgetting it you know to each his own I mean a review as a review my feelings are definitely going to be different than your feelings so you know we'll see next edition is the nomads addition that sounds kind of cool the nomads edition you know I'm sure it's you know gotta be something pretty cool hey what's up Caleb how's everything going for you see priority survivals on so what ya like like I was saying you know I'm hard-to-find items.
Yes he thats that's the main thing I mean there's really no way to put a value on that and you know a lot of the handmade items you know just it's just one of them things you know it's it's going to appeal the one person and as a as opposed to the next sorry about the fly buzzing around my face here gotta fly swatter over here i should get the business and killing yeah but I yeah the pocket boxes.
It's just like any other subscription boxes gonna it may not appeal to one person but it's going to appeal to another so what kind of you know see where that goes.
My son might just walked over here walked into my little office here so you may poke his little head into the end of the frame there say I might get all right he likes to bug me when I'm on here so we only go see about the subscription boxes you know I mean it's a you know it's hit or miss with whoever they're whoever they are you know whoever subscribes to you know some people up some people like more than others.
You know it is what it is I've really enjoyed the preference year box my field for the for the cost you know and the the items you get any kind of it works out you know I mean you always have been a couple months it's been you know on-the-fence with but uh it's been a great great relationship with prepper gearbox so you know I really like them that bivy sack box I I really enjoyed that and you know it sounded like a lot of money you know 76-74 dollars and ninety-nine cents per quarter but that works out to about 25 bucks a month which is what you know privateer backs and in some other ones cost and I felt that it had sent somebody really cool items of it so you know I'm I hoping to continue that one and thinking about jumping on the battle box but uh there's so many people out there doing reviews on them you know I don't even know if I if I really you know one of the things i want to do not sure so i always think we have nine people watching now so anyways I what some items you guys you guys might like to see reviewed it always helps me out to to kind of a kind of get to know what everybody wants to see me walk miss you much favorite backpacking trip you've taken thus far I would have to say my favorite.
It's been quite a while ago it was down in boy has down in Ohio down your hacking skills i can't think of what it was but that was up my favorite as far as backpacking I got out of it for for quite awhile just now really getting back into getting out and hitting the trails and i know some spots like this fall i'm going to get up and hopefully micromanage the trail up there in manistee and in you know a lot of places here in Michigan you know I just love Michigan and you know there's a ton of beautiful spots that I want to you know go how you can see so let me try to get back here on some of these questions that came in you know what the next box will be themed on the next box as far as which box i really don't know actually none of the companies really let you know ahead of time in your pocket boxes one that does cool kids survival what's up buddy how's everything going with you.
Tense yeah actually I've got a couple companies that contacted me about some tents and I think we're working out a deal to a giveaway on a lightweight backpacking hiking ten i think it's a one man or two men but it's real lightweight so definitely had tents are coming up can you remember recommend a tool for EDC items.
I'm finding this is easier to use with in the field rather than digging through a pouch I'll be right back with you on that one.
Let me try to get some these other ones i want to see some big Condor machetes.

So you guys will get to see those sleeping bags sleeping bags Lauren you're on top of things you actually sleeping bags i gotta i got some already lined up and there will be a giveaway on a couple of them so definitely keep your eyes out for that.
How about a review of some water filter systems with a follow-up QA that's an idea we actually i could actually and what i was thinking of doing and it's it's a similar to what you're talking about is uh actually doing previews for you guys on these items like you know I have something to to review i'll do a preview with you can show you it go over all the specs of it what it does so on and so forth and then revisited in a couple weeks and do a review on it and I thought with a lot of those it might be kind of cool to do the review live almost.
R or live so that i can get Q&A questions and answers from you guys answer any questions you may have and so on and so forth so yeah that may be coming up here in the future is just some changes that i'm looking to make with this new app on my phone it doesn't keep up with these uh these comments very well i gotta keep looking back over here to the left.

Yeah i've i've been on part of it not like a long hike or anything up.
I've got family that lives up in wellston break by tipping damn and he's actually right at the pine river and we get up there a lot so you know there's been parts of it I mind all the time I fish a lot of the tippy dam especially coming up with salmon season i'm always up in that area so yeah I definitely love that area beautiful area to what machete you know I can't think of the name of the which one was sending me the machete will be coming up here soon though that's on a adding a toolkit of some kind to a bug-out bag that's an idea.
You're talking to toolkit as far as like you know hand tools or what kind of tool kidding you talking about.

Again so you know i'm always somewhere I the west side of the state in the north side the west side i call the golden coast man i just love Lake Michigan it's it's beautiful it's nothing like the cesspool here like hearing that live on we want to get started on that but the golden coast i love that and anywhere anywhere up north of flint pretty much anywhere once you get get north of detroit or west of let's say west of monroe county I i enjoy it's just this this side of the state hey it is what it is but that's where I'm at and so on let's go back over here how about some cold weather clothing reindeer that bow that's on the that's on the agenda.
Maybe I guess i'm bringing you guys minds on what you want to see I'm gonna get the stuff i would want to see so I've been in contact with companies to to get the ball rolling out some of this and some of the stuff I by myself too so you know it's not all all just said to me but yeah I definitely the cold weather here is coming up it's getting close to close to that time of year where you're going to need it.
Cooking pots i'm actually filming a video hopefully tomorrow on some cooking pot so and its really a budget-friendly great little system you guys will really like it.

West side is where I'm an awesome man you have the west side of the state that's like I said that's just my favorite I hey you know once my kids grow up and move out i got four of them my youngest being the one who stuck his head near minute ago he'll be ten this year so once once they all gonna fly the coop i think i'm going to we'd like to go up near near the ludington area somewhere in that area and like give me a nice watch a land and build me a little cabin on there and just live the simple life you know for from my retirement I guess you could say but that's my plans i love the left side of the state is it's totally awesome it's for those of you who have never been to michigan or never been to the west side of Michigan or even the northern part of michigan boy you are missing out.
I'll tell you what cold weather gears good call for us enough for midwest any items for review yeah actually I've uh I've got some I've got some gloves coming up some real cool it's a different kind of a kind of glove it's a new product and we will be having some giveaways on that to you guys i like to give away i love giving stuff away so you know it's when I talk to these companies i try to get as much as I can from them because they if I could spread the love with you guys why not you know i love given so I do what I can't quarter inch drive sakura sixth century mechanics tools yeah i mean that's that's a good thing I don't know about carrying a carrying it in the bug-out bag I mean maybe some i put the bug out vehicle for sure you know I don't try to have a toolkit maybe you know like you said maybe a small little kid put together with with mom you know smaller sockets and things like that yeah that would be see somebody looking over my head here he you it would be something great to dad with you would definitely help out of here you're in a pinch and that's what you got is that bag you know any tools are better than note.
Tools I'm a winner bug-out bag for the northern folks yeah you guys needed up there especially in the u.p man you guys get buried under feet of snow I don't envy you i love it up there it's beautiful the man once it hits about October I don't want to be nowhere near that place.
Ok looking forward to colder weather less diggin bugs yeah that's my thing man I'm glad to start to cool down and starting to get into fault it's a lot crisper cooler a lot you know I'm not a small guy so when I hi guys sweat you know when I get out there I guess that's what my ass off excuse me but I like getting out there and where it's cooler nicer temperatures no humidity you're not burning up you get you don't have a million bugs attacking it was just a lot better time of year about a multi-tool giveaway aggravated my Gruber and we could look into a another 1i think I've done to two maybe three of them already but yeah we can look into another one not a big deal sorry my chairs a little uncomfortable you ever think of doing a google hangout video it's a live video but it's with other people that's what I used all my other livestreams google hangout but the quality on my camera just really sucks i do have a webcam like a 720p webcam that has good video but the audio just as horrible now my son he's a my oldest son he's into a computer gaming and he's got a really nice microphone setup that I keep wanting to use for my main set up a google hangout but if you'd be interested in doing one yeah we could definitely set it up and you know a bunch of us get together and chat that's what I've been preaching all along hey you know community community community let's get together let's chat lets you know share ideas you know talk about different things we're doing you know spread the love i guess but uh but yeah this is this is the first time i'm using this one that's not.
Google hangouts it's an app i downloaded on my phone bill shrinking like the YouTube just because you've got a better camera and better audio so see you / that's when the snow sleds come out yeah you guys up there band i don't know i don't know how you guys handle it with all this snow up there i'm not a big snowmobile fan either you know I get up I get out there on the snowmobiles and I just you know I mean if you have to use it as a utilitarian thing that's great but those guys that can't wait for that snow to fall just get out and fly through the fields it's 70 miles an hour with cold and snow blowing in and every crevice your body a pass on that my tree backs wallet is hanging tough you have them treat bags wallets man things are built tough actually they have a new to new version is coming out and I should have my hands on those and I'm gonna do some giveaways on those well with you guys to be looking for that long the cold weather gear how about some info on just good quality hiking gear without breaking the bank see that's what I'm all about and thank you lee i'm all about budget you know I've got a large family I've got four kids and a wife there are six of us and right now where I'm the only one working so you know a single income support and six people it's all about budget and you know you can you can look out there and see everybody hiking around with their you know our terex gear and you know they're guilty tense and this that and the other thing but man I don't know about you guys but I can't afford three four hundred dollars for a pack or you know six seven hundred dollars for a one man tent you know I try to do everything on a budget and that's what I'm kind of trying to bring toward you guys it's going to be transitions transitioning more into that is budget-friendly items there's gonna be a lot more.
Budget-friendly items good items the budget-friendly so let's see ideas on gear you got way too much of.
Pax I got way too many packs just as my wife but I just don't seem to want to part with the ones i have but we do have a giveaway coming up on a on a couple packs so that's the youtubes a great community there's a bunch of negative people out there but for us outdoorsy people mostly only see positive people you have that's true.
Definitely a lot of negativity out there before I started this channel I actually have I still have it it's a it's a homesteading channel and the homesteading community it was it was great you know you get welcomed him with open arms but there's just a lot of drama over there there's a lot of negativity and you know it is what it is you know I still do some things on the homestanding channel but there's a lot of negative folks out there a lot a lot a lot of competition you wouldn't believe but a lot of competition i'm not i'm not one to compete with anybody on my channel my channel is my channel I'm not trying to be better than anyone else is a matter of fact I prefer to see everybody grow that's why I do the shoutouts for the giveaways and and other shoutouts man I want to see everybody strive you know there's enough enough subscribers out here for all of us you know if we all band together as a as a community you know and get everybody watching everybody's channel I mean that there should subscribers galore but over on the homesteading side.
You wouldn't believe the competition over there it's ridiculous.
So yes they are ahead 142 years yet you being one of them I think that's good i hope that's good yeah my wife doesn't understand the need for more packs for some reason that needed his mind but you know it's just something but I love so i've got 3 loaded for me two for my daughter for MP just don't know what to do with you can't get enough packs yeah i agree with you instead of competing work together thats that's the key to to everything in life I mean it i guess you know in a business you gotta compete with other businesses but this isn't a business I i may change literally from from YouTube days you wouldn't even pay my internet bill every month from what I'm make from you when you come close to paying my internet bill for what I'm a coffee youtube it's not I'm not competing for business you know we we all need to just work together by and that's I think a lot of our worlds problems today is a lot of competition and not enough not enough working together you know to make chiefs and not enough Indians as they say you know so what about the guys who packed too much in a vehicle and they have an accident where the vehicle is towed.
What do you do with the gear good question man trying to get an accident i would say but i would just you know I try to personally myself I would try to you know just pick out the gear i'm going to need most and try to take with me i guess you know so sorry I'm trying to get over here and catch up on these comments.
But i but yeah i mean i-i I don't know if mostly you notice uh far as the name goes on my channel you know survival gear review i think when i named it I hand named a little wrong and I'm i think i'm more geared toward don't get me wrong i'm still it you know i do that the survival stuff enjoy it you know review and so on and so forth but i'm i'm more into more into the camping hiking backpacking things like that that's more of where where my style is that now I still you know prepare for things you know emergency food storage things like that but you know it's more geared toward hiking backpacking Bush crafting i'm just getting into would like to get into the wild animals as well but uh just kind of let you know they're see what do you do for a living I work for a major chip company i always wonder what other people do for a living to allow for their hobbies.
Well I am a how would you an assistant.
Terminal manager for a large trucking company here in the Detroit area that's what I do for a living and it doesn't uh having a large family doesn't afford a lot of hobbies so you know I have to have a cheaper one like like YouTube but uh yeah that's what I do for a living if everybody else wants to drop a line on what you guys do i'd love to know too i'm i'm i'm with lock Michigan you know I'm always intrigued by what other people do you know what line of work is everybody in so what's up Lee doing alright alright.

So but um yeah like I was saying before you know it will still be some survival stuff on here and everything but a lot of what you're going to see and and probably have seen has a lot to do with you know hiking backpacking camping things of those nature fishing i get into some fishing the area that I'm in the fishing you test engines in dearborn that's awesome hopefully it's for Ford thumbs up for forward we actually the the trucking terminal that I didn't help manage we actually run a shuttle one of the Ford plant so you know i'm a big for fan anyways HDR is a good name I've been trying to come up with one that doesn't step on anyone else's toes start my own they don't worry about stepping on anybody's toes make it original make it yours you know whatever you come up with you know even if you came up with survivalist gear review i'm going to be mad at you man you know do your own thing you're gonna start a channel started you know just go at it so ABC trapper animal control may not all be an awesome job you better man how I i I'd love to be able to do that if it is the work in an office getting those chips out the door frito-lay it's pretty cool actually work at frito-lay when I was younger I was a this may be about 18 years old I worked in one of the warehouses down in Perrysburg Ohio and loaded up all the trucks are going out to deliver see good man yeah so you must work for four thumbs up and working construction a family-owned business and so that's an awesome business being my brother he was in constricted in construction and is now a builder down in Tennessee and man really good bit of business to be in.
It's pretty awesome.
Let's see from Eastern Kentucky alright sweet you stir in Kentucky c drive a truck deliver for a major pop soda company that's not Pepsi or coke LOL that Pepsi or coke if you're from michigan i would say faygo but it's probably seven up Dave Cooper I work for a company that makes railroad securement devices i'm in the maintenance leadman safety now is that out of the railroad securement devices that basically saying outfitting a truck with the railroad things out and so they can drive down there.
I'm not sure I just asking professional dog groomer you know my my wife has been wanting to get into grooming dogs and she has no idea where to start maybe you could give me some insight that I can give her to find out where to go to get them some training on how to do it she loves animals we've got what three dogs for five cats yeah we got a bunch outside you live on a farm there you go kicking my tripod but uh we got a ton of animals maintenance tech for plastic plastic filament all right get to work in the woods yes yes the best kind of work I've always thought that'd be cool to be out the trap and everybody what's up Mike how's everything going down there in Florida hopefully the hurricane didn't know didn't do too horrible for you down there they go yeah you gotta love pizza hot 7up I was correct that wood dr pepper snapple with it but yep.

Can my son wants to shout out his YouTube channel for any guys that might play video games its gaming reviewed he reviews video games you guys want to check it out look it up gaming reviewed know we make changes and straps that the railroad uses to transport cars and trucks and millet oh ok I see what you're saying so that'd be a pretty pretty cool job to have also got my daughter in here now with me she's standing over there no problems here was high and dry in the swamp.

Walk Michigan I'm sorry you had some do that like walk Michigan said you know what up what's been some of the best hikes that you guys have taken any backpacking trips hikes or anything that are around most memorable to you you know ask questions you got.
Hey sorry me on the kids quit so I got another crazy campout swap camper in camp for your speed next week will be on dry land for this that's awesome and I love that last set of videos you had with them it was look like a great time you know right yeah I know you're from michigan had just could remember walk miss giving it the the weekend hiker came in so I was a-thinkin hiker Baker was on my mind.
Alabaster Alabama where is alabaster Alabama yeah Laura we do have a review coming up on different cold-weather clothing outdoor outdoor attire things like that we got some coming up vermont near Lake Champlain man that would be awesome out there I've always want to get up to the to the east coast over there especially up here like Vermont New Hampshire Maine means one of the places on my bucket list that i want to make it to love camping and hiking in the Talladega forest in Alabama let's see any of the old scouting campsites in Michigan put it up.
Scouting campsites of Michigan I only place i know they gotta Scout camp grounds out just north of Chelsea I think it's just north of chelsea and only got one out there.
I grew up in Ohio side and I grew up down in toledo so far as mission goes any of the older stuff i'm not too aware of have only been up here well i'm going to hear about 20 years so I've been up here a little while so it's the northeast Kansas alright man you guys get a lot of tornadoes out there Lee just south of birmingham ok well now I know where that's at that's one place I've always wanted I look would love to think i would love to live at is down there like southern Alabama are somewhere down in that area Louisiana just for the public garden so you know you can pretty much go garden all year long and get down there near the coast.
Milt the West Virginia West Virginia is a beautiful place man some of them mountains going through they're just awesome there's one near mesquite i think but it's very well yeah i'm not sure but a mosquito man i love muskegon to man just one of those well as beautiful areas man you get anywhere along the Commission and I guess you could say he's just a possum area got some pool peel w camps up here oh well I didn't know they had any up there in the u.p that's a that's interesting never seen a live for native now we did how many years ago was we were living over in dundee and it was in june of $YEAR i don't remember the year few years back about six years ago and I mean you're off the bed i will talk to you later.
It was nice chatting with you and if i decide to do if you don't want to do one of these days do a Oh what do they call it the I got camp out in my mind the Hangout through google let me know we'll set it up and you know we can check so but I was saying about the tornado we were living over there and and middle of the night a tornado decided to come through the little town we lived in my wife was still up she woke us all up and we lived in a mobile home at the time which isn't the safest place with a tornado and yeah we we have in the van and went to go out of the trailer park and has it was lightning you can see the tornado the outline of the tornado you up to the sky would line up it was wicked we ended up getting out of everybody was safe but uh you know pretty much and get a lot of damage to the town so toledo you ever been to the Battle of fallen timbers historical site of always want to visit the plate may need to go there all the time and it's right by yesterday by fort meigs and got a huge hills going down behind them that we just go out there and go sledding into bargaining on so you have been they're been there a lot you'd be definitely a cool place to to check out not as many people think only a couple so far this year but maybe used to them actually trailer tornado magnet yeah it is a tornado magnet actually been a into a whole lot of damage to to where we lived in a you know did some things with some roof damage and some other damage but it didn't like AB literally the whole thing it actually didn't come through the trailer park it was about oh I don't know three quarters of a mile from there so we got a lot of the street straight wins or whatever they call it so to waterspouts last week yeah i think a week or two ago we had some weather coming through here and over Lake Erie there was some water spouts that ended up spot not over that but uh sorry I'm waiting for this thing to update it just seems to take forever.
There we go finally updated that's the very hot humid this year.
Yeah it's been even up here it's been it's been a hot humid year i'm hoping that doesn't mean it's gonna be a cold snowy winter.
Everybody keeps telling me that but I just don't believe it but that's just me.

We're on the we'd be on the west side of Lake Erie so all the weather travels to the east so once they get out over the lake here you know they coming back after they're going to continue on so they're pretty cool to watch their they were actually pretty sleep how weather is about took me out of an inch in getting the woods but it's just the way to have to enjoy it and that's the way I feel two men has been horribly hot + CI live up I'm gonna we would we live in an old farmhouse and there's hundreds and hundreds of acres of farm fields around us but I got some woods that are out pretty close to a mile behind the house and this time of year the corn is grown up I'm not walking them cornfields all the way back there get to the woods to hang out in the woods so once they get this corn down out here i can get on the woods a lot more out there and and everything so you know how to make it a lot nicer to won't be so hot so drove across the courtney campbell causeway crest hampton bay with a huge white water spout late one night yeah I'd be a I think that God feel the same you know it'd be scary but you know more intriguing than being fearful on it so see back in 94 had a 14-8 jump over my house down man you got lucky buddy lucky as hell you know you get a tornado jumping over your house this that's ridiculous that's the el nino equals warm winners as far north as you are and really unusual warm where I'm at La Nina snow and cold for me or for you and we both don't mind it I can see why others so what is it is this an El Nino years is a lot mean year I don't know I haven't kept up with it at night they're white so they contrast the darks you have never seen one at night I've seen them you know where it's been.
Not real bright out because you know for storm clouds and everything but uh I've never seen one at night that I think that'd be kind of cool you know that night you know with it being white from sucking up all the water.
