It's not worth it just let it go it's possible brought himself did some soul-searching who knows maybe he watched our show yesterday morning and then he sat down and said you know what this doesn't look bad it's a bad look at would have been a bad look for the NBA and a bad look for LeBron James and his brand and all these endorses it just it just smelled wrong to me whatever happened there was chaos all day and I completely agree with you you were a great athlete I've covered a lot of great athletes if you plant the seeds of rest in somebody's mind early in the day and then late in the day you switch gears and you say up flip that competitive switch back on its hard to flip it back on full force yeah and you're exactly right about that game was a January sixteenth remember they had beaten Golden State four straight games so that sort of the speculation was that the cab's logic was why should we go in there and let them have a shot to beat us at full strength and get some psychological edge back as because obviously that would be the second time they were playing on the only the second time this year that they would play each other in they at the last second I don't know whose choice it was an awful Braun had a big input into the decision but they chose to play the big three and they got blown away in that game because they just didn't appear to be invested in Game ocean and lebron had the second-worst plus-minus of his career minus 32 are you kidding me so that was a bad night for him this this was almost a worst night in a lot of ways even though the plus/minus wasn't so bad but you know it just looked from the start like he wasn't his heart wasn't in the game right from the start yet then it flips around into is the pouting trying to say okay if you're going to force me to play or I feel forced to play i'm going to show you i'll play all the minute you didn't play all of me played 41 minutes left for one minute are you kidding me I mean any superstar should hold it to that 32 ish range and then again i am impressed he played i give it give it up to and that was that was big of him that was right of him just to suck it up and say i'm just going to play this game no matter what put any whatever differences with Charles are you put it all behind him and he said I'm going to play but then your heart's not in it and then finally your body's not in it in the end and and i actually had a twinge I did I I felt a little sorry for him in the fourth quarter because it was such a long hard day and he just wasn't ready to play the basketball game against a Russell Westbrook who was out of his mind again last night and there was a stretch i justjust let me throw this out but that's struggling late in the game when Kyrie and Westbrook we're going tit for a tat can you top this back-and-forth it was special stuff man Kyrie is a bad man you have more days left.
He did he had Robertson on skates a couple times i said wow that's just too good and then Westbrook made four straight jump shots and he didn't make all of those mid-range right got this new deal now we does the the pullback jump shot you no no follow through this and he made four in a row that broke the game open because it was tied at 99 with five minutes left and then boom boom and all of a sudden they go up 10 7 11 game over so that was the sort of subplot to LeBron James who just out of it in the fourth quarter.
So now you know to me I think he needs more than all-star break off it was it last year they would like everybody to the Holy we got work two weeks off to get back to Miami you know what I don't know if you want to go to Miami because D Wade isn't there anymore but wherever he wants to go i would recommend you take a break i would I think it could really help there's still two and a half games up i would i would play have a few minutes that possibly could in the all-star game he has to go to the all-star game he doesn't draw i would agree.
Oh but I'm not playing on a minute let the young guys get it it's more important for you because the all-star game is not where it's at for lebron lebron knows one thing he measured by championship now and and he tasted that so you know play in 35 minutes winning all-star game MVP that does nothing for him he needs time off that's too many minutes are we find Eric Williams to a 10-day contract keeping up well last night in the limited minutes that he did play so maybe he can come in and failed to brighten somebody's minutes but if i'm tired of feeling around 35 minutes of your Mac that's all you got.
And so whatever you need to do or how we gonna divvy this up are you gonna go eight minutes.

Give me a second on this i'm going to give a slight edge to a town in which I grew up the Oklahoma City Thunder fans because i think they were more blindsided by Kevin Durant leaving in their team was much closer to winning a championship in LeBrons was in his first go-round Cleveland because they'd fallen so short that getting swept by the Spurs obviously just flamed out against the celtics but the Thunder fans thought they were right on the verge because clearly they're up three games to one on Golden State's the conference finals so again I grew up in Oklahoma City and you have to understand that when i was in high school when we had minor league hockey and minor league baseball the prospect of having an NBA franchise in oklahoma city oklahoma was laughably preposterous in somehow some way out of the guys felt the sonics into oklahoma city's lap in 2008 in the first big star for the pro basketball team in oklahoma city was Kevin Durant and I cannot tell you how beloved he was starting an 08 in oklahoma city because he got so active in charities civic causes in Oklahoma City the tornado victims he was always on doing the right thing at the right time and I believe that Kevin became the most beloved in the most famous athlete in the history of the state of Oklahoma and I know there are a lot of oh you football players but somehow this transcended because it was national and put Oklahoma City on more of us national map in the while the Thunder even became a nemesis for my Spurs because they they could happen oh yeah they want.
Event and didn't even last year first go up to 21 and then games 45 picture phone phone phone while the Spurs were more of a nemesis and have been for LeBron so in Oklahoma City they're like we got the Spurs you know and we could get LeBron and even in that one final they blew out the heat in the first in Game one and then we know that they were just like babies and they weren't ready for the onslaught especially when I went back to Miami but still those people were on the verge of something really great an NBA championship and then all the sudden out of nowhere.
Kevin left nobody saw it coming and with LeBron in the decision even you were reported on ESPN right you were you're ahead of that curve you were you were he's going to leave well I said Durant to was going to golden state now right after they right after the season definitely i don't even if I had to bet i'm picking going ok good i have been told early and latterly last season that he was seriously considering okay well nobody in oklahoma city took that hard but I think in Cleveland because the blood had gotten a little bad between LeBron and Dan Gilbert already did it got really bad after he didn't announce the decision but the the Thunder fans felt completely blind sight they just couldn't imagine this guy was going to leave what they had what they had built their sort of favorite son the guy who had been with them from the start and go go to golden state that you had three games to one down so it it really crushed the psyche of oklahoma city in ways and I know how badly and hurt Cleveland that guy from Akron had left but at least he did go back so it took a little of the pain away I think your point and most of the thought.
Look you you have 31 at the very least you would go back for one more year because that was a lot of thinking yeah and then when you after your 10 here you get more money will go elsewhere so I think that shocked people but i'm not surprised that your answer because I actually think Cleveland was just as close as Oklahoma went LeBron in his first stint there remember that 166 game and 61 game so they were closed as well uh but i just think that I mean look at that swept by the Spurs would you want that was but that was like 07 ok but in three years later they should have beat boston but they did just crummy wait I fell down into thick four five and six.

Hall of Fame and all of that sounds nice and I get it but also you have to look in what division has you played in over those years it's more telling that he's 114 division titles about the competition in that division in anything and that's not inoculated Tom Brady and the Patriots haven't accomplished anything but but when you look at the bills and you look at the jets go look at what those teams have accomplished which is basically nothing ok so just to look at him coming out of that division every year and saying that's the reason he's the greatest player ever.
I'm not buying that you can't sit here and tell me that Aaron Rodgers I want you to tell me Aaron Rodgers not a better football player or more athletic than Tom Brady we will debate at a later time.
